Cancer treatment devices
Ablatherm® HIFU is globally the fastest-growing minimally invasive treatment method for localized prostate cancer. EMDA is an effective treatment modality for superficial, high-risk bladder cancer.
Cancer treatment is evolving rapidly, with a global trend towards more personalized, non-invasive, and patient-preserving therapies. ProMedical is a pioneer in the market for carefully selected non-radiative cancer treatments. One of the most promising new cancer treatment methods is HIFU (high-intensity focused ultrasound), which has shown promising global research results, particularly in the treatment of prostate cancer and gynecological cancers. We represent EDAP TMS (NASDAQ: EDAP) solutions in HIFU technology, a world-leading manufacturer of therapeutic ultrasound that has been in the market for over 35 years. EDAP TMS develops and manufactures minimally invasive medical devices using ultrasound technology, specifically for urology. By continuously investing in research and development in collaboration with INSERM, EDAP TMS has developed a strong and valuable patent portfolio based on its innovative technologies. EDAP TMS’s Focal One solution is in use in Finland.
For bladder cancer treatment, we offer Physion’s EMDA solution (Electro Motive Drug Administration), which is specifically developed for the treatment of superficial high-risk bladder cancer. EMDA is based on ionization, which allows the drug to be delivered deeper and more effectively into the treated tissue. This method has been shown to achieve better treatment results by effectively preventing the division or progression of cancer cells to a more malignant state. EMDA is extensively researched and, according to all studies, is an effective treatment for superficial high-risk bladder cancer. EMDA has been adopted in Finland, and a national clinical trial is currently underway.
For the treatment of bone and soft tissue cancers, we offer alternative ablation solutions through our representation of Surgnova. Surgnova’s Dophi™ Tumor Ablation Platform provides solutions for radiofrequency, microwave, and electroporation ablations. Surgnova’s range includes the widest selection of antennas on the market, making the equipment versatile and suitable for the ablation of various types of tumors.
